Dr Vic. Ilag, Non Executive Director
Has extensive research and technical experience in discovery, preclinical and clinical development of biologics and dietary/food ingredients (peptides, proteins, antibodies, natural products, agricultural waste streams) with applications in oncology, cardiovascular disease, CNS, infectious disease and metabolic diseases.
Vic has a PhD in Microbiology/Immunology and did postdoctoral studies in structural biology. He has more than 20 years of biotech experience in the discovery and development of biologics and diagnostics serving in multiple senior executive roles in R&D and business development with several biotech companies in Australia and Europe including Horizon Science Pty Ltd, Patrys Ltd, HealthLinx Ltd (formerly Cryptome Pharmaceuticals), and Morphosys AG. Vic is Executive Director of and Chief Scientific Officer of Plentex spin-off company, Xerion Limited.
Gil A. Adora, Non Executive Director
Served the Philippine Government for 42 years in various capacities. He started his career as Jr. Fishery Biologist in 1972 and rose through the ranks to Career Executive Service Officer, Rank 1V, Designated Officer In-Charge of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, BFAR Assistant National Director (Dec. 2007 to Sept. 2012). He was designated as SEAFDEC Alternate Council Director for the Philippines, as Commissioner for the International Conservation of Atlantic Tuna (ICCAT); as Commissioner on Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna (CCSBT); and Head Delegate of the Philippines for Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission, Scientific Committee (WCPFC-SC).
Ceferino A. Garcia Jr., Non Executive Director
Holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and is an expert in the design and fabrication of aquaculture infrastructure. He is Proprietor and General Manager of MJCG Marine Enterprise and heads MJCG Construction Inc. MJCG is an accredited fishcage fabricator and supplier which operates and manages intensive grow-out culture of milkfish in marine cages in Basey Samar. Ceferino is a Director of Seafarm Center, Eastern Seaworld Venture M. Cooperative, New Seafood Sanctuary Restaurant and President of Asia Pacific Entrepreneurs Ass., Inc. (ASPEN) in Tacloban City.
Erwin Navarez, Non Executive Director/ Treasurer/ Corporate Secretary
A lawyer who majored in accountancy and has held a number of senior positions with Joaquin Cunanan & Co./PricewaterhouseCoopers Philippines. Erwin was a pioneer in the PEZA consulting practice of PWC which started in 1998. As understudy to Elvira Adorable, the then PEZA Deputy Director General for Operations, Erwin developed vast knowledge on PEZA incentives and procedures and was promoted to PEZA Manager in 2004. He left PWC in 2008 to form his own practice and founded Navarez Sabater & Co. which advises foreign investors on PEZA and Tax Issues.
