Peter Streader (Executive Chairman)

Peter Streader has had a long career as a solicitor, barrister and “in house” corporate counsel and company executive.

He spent approximately 10 years, ultimately holding the position of General Counsel and Company Secretary of the Australian subsidiary of one of the world’s leading engineering and construction contractors, USA based Fluor Corporation and played a significant role in contract negotiations and the subsequent execution of a number of major resource development projects in Australia including the initial Dampier to Perth Natural Gasline.

Following his resignation from Fluor he has played a leading role in establishing and managing a number of ASX listed  and private companies and has gained extensive experience in the development of  resource based projects and manufacturing operations.  He was a founding Director of Drillsearch NL (now Drillsearch Energy Limited) and Executive Director of Diamin Resources NL (now Senetas Corporation Limited) and joined the Board of Plenty River Corporation Limited (now Plentex Limited) in January 1998 serving in an executive capacity.

Peter was a founding director of and served as inaugural Chairman of Plentex “spin offs”, Nest Group Limited (now known as unIPartners Limited) and Xerion Limited.



David Vinson (Executive Director - Operations)

David Vinson is a seasoned executive in the Australian renewable energy industry, most recently with Blue Sundial Pty Ltd, and has been involved with numerous companies in the biofuel, chemical, marketing services and recycling industries.

David managed the construction and operation of one of Australia’s first biodiesel plants which operated as a division of The Victor Smorgon Group.

David graduated from Purdue University, USA, with a degree in Chemical Engineering .

He was appointed to the Board of Plentex in January 2011.






Dr Wanda Mackinnon (Non-Executive Director)

Wanda Mackinnon is a biochemist with a PhD in medicine from the University of Sydney who has successfully blended scientific and corporate careers to become an advisor on commercialisation and investor relations for technology-based ventures. Since 2005 she has used her expertise to help companies to communicate their business strategy, competitive position and value proposition for an investor audience and advises a number of companies in the biotechnology, health and environmental sectors.

She was co-national manager of the Australian Government’s highly successful Commercialising Emerging Technologies (COMET) Program for its first five years of operation and a long-term Judging Panel Member of the Australian Technology Showcase.  Wanda acted as a consultant to Plentex for several years prior to her appointment to the Board and has a detailed knowledge of its business activities.

She was appointed to the Board of Plentex in April 2016.





Mike McMahon (General Manager – Philippine Operations)

Mike is a successful entrepreneur, a fifth generation Australian farmer  who has an accounting background and extensive experience in the finance broking industry. He was a founding partner of the firms, Centerlease, which pioneered new financial instruments in Australia that gave farmers access to funding and tax relief and later, Associated Brokers, that further developed the emerging mortgage broking industry. While with the Hotel Dynamics group, Mike worked extensively in Asia and earned the reputation as the architect of the co-branded credit card concept. In 2002 OnCard Ltd (ASX:ONC) was founded to develop and market co-branded Mastercards.  To follow a passion, in 2006 Mike having been a former Rugby Union and League player of note was invited to become the inaugural coach of the Philippine Rugby Union and whilst there developed his vision for a fully integrated aquaculture business.

Mike has developed an influential and supportive business and government network in the Philippines.  In 2012 he established a Hong Kong based company with plans to establish a vertically integrated business near Tacloban commencing with the redevelopment of a substantial fish hatchery which he successfully brought into production in 2013. Mike resigned his position as Managing Director of this company in early 2014 in order to focus his attention on Plentex’s Philippine operations.


David Ellis (General Manager - Business Development & Aquaculture)

David has lived and worked from the Kimberley Coast to the shores of the Southern Ocean on research, sustainable production and management of pearls, Atlantic salmon and Southern Bluefin Tuna and other marine species. He has consulted and liaised with all levels of government in Australia and some governments in the Pacific region. He currently serves on 2 state ministerial appointed boards. 

He is very skilled in farm husbandry areas including aquatic animal health, biosecurity, product quality, physiology and nutrition, environmental management, and wildlife interactions, OH&S, and employee training.  His achievements in the Australian Aquaculture industry was recognised by being awarded the industry production award at the 2014 world aquaculture conference in Adelaide SA. He has received numerous awards for research and project management at state and national level in addition to community awards for the Eyre Peninsula region.

David is Fellow of the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has attained a MSc focussing on fish nutrition and feeding behaviour.


Dean Oehlmann (General Manager - Project Development)
Dean Oehlmann has been a practising Chemical Engineer for 30 years. He has run his own business (D. Oehlmann & Associates) from the age of 27 and designed and project managed start up projects up to $20 million in value. His expertise lies in his broad experience in waste treatment, food, biodiesel and petrochemical production. From each of these areas bringing together disciplines unique to each of those areas.

Over the last 10 years he has developed contacts and skills that are required to purchase and operate in the Asian market and has built many pieces of equipment in China to satisfy the financial constraints of certain clients. His training in Chemical Engineering (Honours) Melbourne, with part time studies in Law and Psychology as well as running several start up businesses in engineering, computer sales and fuel refining makes him well rounded in the breadth of disciplines required to start many businesses from scratch.

Being one of the few chemical engineers still practising independently he brings both technical and project experience to any project.


David Streader (Company Secretary)

David Streader graduated as a Bachelor of Science in 1991 and subsequently qualified for a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia and later a Diploma of Financial Planning from Deakin University. 

From 1993 to November 2002 he held various roles including that of company secretary and director of a Melbourne based Licensed Securities Dealer which provided financial planning and investment banking services.

David is a Certified Financial Planner and runs a financial business servicing clients on the Mornington Peninsula.

David Streader is a CFP Member of the Financial Planning Association.
